According to a news statement from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department acquired by E! News, Victorville Police Department detectives responded to a report of a dead person discovered inside an abandoned California residence on August 26. Tropez was discovered inside the house by the responding deputies with “traumatic injuries.”
According to the announcement, the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division-Homicide Detail opened an inquiry after finding Tropez. Authorities have located a suspect in custody who is 24 years old. According to the investigators, Tropez and the suspect “may have been squatting” at the house and knew one another.
Tropez made an appearance on the reality programme Beyond Scared Straight when she was just 17 years old. The Emmy-nominated programme, according to A&E, follows children who have been sent to crime prevention programmes in an effort to keep them out of jail. Beyond Scared Straight has highlighted 331 kids in 29 prisons and jails since its 2009 inception.
Tropez said on her episode that she was in to the programme for “fighting and selling cannabis.”
According to The Sun, Tropez said a year later that her stint on the programme had not altered her opinions. Tropez told the newspaper, “I’m still the same guy. “I basically hang around everywhere, at friends’ and family members’ homes. Just relaxing.”
